We completed a roof revitalization at Zuma Bay HOA, covering 153,600 sq ft. The project featured Davinci Roofscapes Composite Slate Tiles (Single Width), offering a lightweight, durable, slate-inspired look, along with Polyglass MTS Plus and Solarhide underlayment for added protection. The challenge was addressing significant roof deflection caused by heavy concrete tiles, resulting in up to a 4-inch sag. We resolved this by removing the old tiles, replacing sagging plywood, and installing new 2×8 joists to level the roof. The lightweight Davinci tiles provided the desired aesthetic without the structural burden of traditional slate.
